Share Files in a Space


Add information and personality to your spaces by sharing files, attachments, photos, and videos in the Cisco Spark app. You can even record videos using the app on your mobile phone or tablet and share them in a space.

You can share many different types of documents that you collaborate on, such as .pdf and .docx. The maximum file size that you can upload to a space is 2 GB.

 

Windows, Mac, and Web 

1    Click   in the message area.   
2    Add the file using one of the following options:   
  • Attachment—Browse to the location of the file that you want to share.    
  •  Screen Capture—(Windows and Mac only) Select the area of the most recently viewed application on your desktop.    
3    Or you can drag and drop the file into the message area.   
4    Press Enter to send the file to the space.   

iPhone and iPad

  1.  
1    Add the file using one of the following options:    
  • —Tap to share a file. Choose any cloud storage app that you're using on your phone, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive. Add to the      list of apps by tapping More and enabling the cloud storage app.      

                                        

           

    iCloud Drive is enabled automatically because that's the default place where files that aren't images are saved on your iPhone or iPad, anyway.      

          
  • —Tap to share a photo or video that you've already taken. You must agree to share your camera with Cisco Spark.          
  • —Tap to take a photo. You must agree to share your camera with Cisco Spark.          
2    Tap Send.    

Android

1    Tap .        
2    Choose one of the following options:    
  •  Take Photo—Tap to take a photo. You must agree to share your camera with Cisco Spark.          
  •   Choose Existing Photo—Tap to share a photo or video that you've already taken. You must agree to share your camera with Cisco Spark.         
  •  Choose File—Tap to share a file. Share a file from your phone or get a file that's on a cloud storage app such as Dropbox or Google Drive.     
  •  Take Video—Tap to take a video. You must agree to share your camera with Cisco Spark.          
3    Tap Send.
